Amarah Palace is located in Aba al-Saud in the heart of Najran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the most famous historical buildings. It was established in 1944 to serve as the headquarters of the Emirate of Najran and some government administrations, as well as the residence of the governor of Najran and his family.
The palace was constructed in the form of a fortress with high walls, using mud and stones as building materials. It covers an area of approximately 6,252 m and consists of three floors. The upper part of the palace includes four circular towers for security surveillance and protection. It also houses a mosque, a well dating back to pre-Islamic times, warehouses, and numerous sitting and living rooms, totaling around sixty-five rooms.
Amarah Palace hosts various events, tourism activities, cultural and social competitions, sports activities, and traditional shows. The Emirate of Najran Province established an outdoor courtyard in front of the palace to serve as a headquarters for craft and manual professionals.
