Qassim Province is located in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, approximately 425 km northwest of the capital, Riyadh. It is bordered to the north by Hail Province, to the west by al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Province, and to the south and east by Riyadh Province. It includes various architectural, natural, and archaeological landmarks associated with the area:
- Buraydah Water Tower: Located in the northern part of the city, it is one of the most important landmarks and an architectural icon of Buraydah. The tower stands sixty-six m above ground level and is shaped like a golf ball. The water tank, which represents about 60 percent of the ball, has a capacity of eight thousand m. At the top of the tank, there is a reception hall and a restaurant covering an area of one thousand m. Above the hall and restaurant is a one thousand m observation deck offering views of the entire city of Buraydah.
- King Khalid Cultural Center: Serving as a cultural and social hub, this center is located in the city of Buraydah. It was inaugurated in 1986 and functions as a venue for events and conferences.
Archaeological icons:
- Al-Shinanah Tower: A historic watchtower and one of the landmarks that bear witness to the region's history, it is at least two hundred years old. Located in the southwestern part of ar-Rass city in Qassim, this well-preserved structure made of adobe bricks has witnessed numerous historical battles. The tower was damaged during one of the battles due to intense artillery fire, which reduced its original height from forty-five m to its current height of twenty-seven m.
- Al-Bassam House: A popular tourist destination in Qassim, located near the western gate of Unayzah city. Construction began in 1955 and took four years to complete. It was restored in 2000 and converted into a heritage center. The palace is an example of Najdi architecture, built on an area of 3,500 m. Its foundations are made of stone, and tamarisk wood was used for the roofs, doors, and windows. The building is adorned with various decorative patterns and designs.
-Uyun al-Jiwa: This ancient oasis is located about fifty km northwest of Buraydah. Its name means "ponds of the valley." It has been inhabited by humans since at least prehistoric times. Thamudic inscriptions (from the historical Arabian tribe) can still be seen carved into the rocks in the area, particularly in al-Hanadir, located fifteen km from Uyun al-Jiwa. It also features al-Mirqab Tower, built from mud and brick, which was historically used to monitor enemy movements.
