The Grand Hajj Symposium is an annual scientific event sponsored by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where various issues related to the Hajj pilgrimage are discussed.

The Grand Hajj Symposium serves as a scientific umbrella and an attractive knowledge platform for elite scholars, thinkers, and researchers in Islamic affairs to discuss various jurisprudential issues relevant to the needs of pilgrims.

The Grand Hajj Symposium contributes by providing a platform where various issues related to the Hajj pilgrimage are discussed, which spiritually and religiously affect pilgrims during their performance of the ritual. It encourages constructive dialogue, forward-thinking, and peaceful coexistence among different segments of society. The Grand Hajj Symposium was launched in 1970 and has successfully become an enriching knowledge and scientific platform through its various editions. The symposium gathers scholars, thinkers, and researchers from the Islamic world from around the globe, with the attendance of several ministers, to exchange knowledge, research findings, and best practices that contribute to enhancing the comfort, safety, and overall experience of performing the Hajj pilgrimage. More than fifty-seven countries participate each year, with around five hundred guests attending, underscoring the Kingdom's role in serving the visitors of the Two Holy Mosques and the broader Muslim community. This event also aims to achieve one of the main purposes of Hajj: fostering unity and affection among Muslims.
