The King Fahd International Stadium in the Saudi capital Riyadh, known as the Pearl of Stadiums, is the largest sports stadium in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a total area of approximately five hundred thousand m.
The stadium is located northeast of the capital Riyadh, and was constructed in 1988. Its seating capacity is estimated to be around sixty-eight thousand seats. The primary purpose of its construction was to contribute to hosting the FIFA World Youth Championship in 1989. Additionally, it has been one of the stadiums that hosted multiple finals of the FIFA Confederations Cup.
The stadium includes several facilities, including dedicated buildings for players, a football field with its services, a running track and athletics facilities, a protective canal, grandstands and seats for the audience, and several ticket-selling booths.
