The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf coastlines stretch 2,480 km from the west and east. Its Red Sea coastline extends from Haql Governorate in the north to Jazan Province in the south, covering 1,830 km.
Two sustainable tourism projects are under development on the Kingdom's Red Sea coastline: the Red Sea Project, which will be 100 percent powered by renewable solar energy and will save over 500 thousand t of carbon dioxide, as well as Amaala program, which is called Riviera of the Middle East.
The Kingdom's Arabian Gulf coastline stretches over 600 km. It forms one of the most suitable marine environments for fish and shrimp, with more than 130 species. Moreover, this coastline is characterized by its self-sufficiency and abundant production, as it supplies the Saudi and international markets with more than 70,000 t annually.
