National Energy Efficiency Services Company 'Tarshid' is a national company owned by the Public Investment Fund. Launched in 2017, it aims to achieve strategic sustainability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by optimizing energy consumption in the government and commercial sectors, establishing a high-quality energy efficiency industry, and reducing carbon emissions. Its headquarters are in the capital, Riyadh, and its service area extends across the regions of the Kingdom.

Objectives of the National Energy Services Company

It aims to: provide sustainable solutions to increase energy efficiency and support the circular carbon economy, offer complementary services for energy efficiency solutions, support the development and expansion of clean and renewable energy, provide smart infrastructure solutions for buildings and cities, increase participation in the energy services sector market, and drive the localization of local content.

It also aims to improve energy consumption efficiency in the Kingdom through energy efficiency services projects, develop the energy efficiency services sector in the Kingdom, localize and develop expertise in energy efficiency services, and create leaders in this sector.

Services of the National Energy Services Company

The company's services include three areas:

Building retrofit: Tarshid invests in and manages retrofit projects to improve the energy consumption efficiency of public and private buildings and facilities, such as ministry buildings, mosques, schools, hospitals, and offices.

Streetlights retrofit: This involves developing and implementing projects to replace traditional street lighting with more efficient solutions, such as LED lamps, across the Kingdom in coordination with municipalities, ministries, and other development authorities.

Renewable energy projects: Tarshid develops and supports renewable energy solutions on the production side, such as rooftop photovoltaic solar energy and other thermal technologies, to support the energy efficiency measures being implemented.
