Leyja in 'NEOM' is a tourist destination within a natural oasis between valleys and mountains in 'NEOM', located in the Gulf of Aqaba, northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was announced by the Board of Directors of 'NEOM' Company in October 2023 to build a strong and sustainable tourism industry under Saudi Vision 2030.

Leyja's location in 'NEOM'

Leyja in 'NEOM' is located within a historical area. It starts from the Gulf of Aqaba coast and its waters in the west, and extends across the natural terrain winding to form a valley surrounded by four hundred m high mountains that have been crafted by the power of water over thousands of years ago. Leyja will be a nature reserve, as 95 percent of its area will be preserved for nature.

Leyja will offer a selection of experiences and activities, including contemporary restaurants supervised by world-renowned chefs, relaxation centers, and rooftop infinity-style pools across three hotels. In the valley and surrounding mountains, there will be walking and hiking trails, as well as paths and sites for exploration and adventure enthusiasts, and for those who enjoy mountain biking and rock climbing.

Leyja's hotels in 'NEOM'

Leyja in 'NEOM' consists of three boutique hotels and facilities. Moreover, it will provide tourism and sports experiences, exploratory adventures, and various services, blending nature’s components with engineering innovation and advanced technologies to support the diversity and richness of eco-tourism destinations in the Kingdom. Leyja combines innovative environmental design with the latest construction methods and technologies to ensure that the facilities and buildings blend seamlessly into the surrounding nature.

Leyja’s three hotels have been designed to be intelligent and to complement the surrounding nature of the valley, operate sustainably, and provide visitors with distinct experiences. The three properties will offer 120 elegant boutique rooms and suites, with forty units for each hotel.

The hotels were tailor-made for adventure lovers. The deconstructed design ascends the walls of the valley like a staircase, its structure effortlessly tracing the topography with minimal disturbance of the terrain’s natural lines. The first hotel's location, folded into the cliff top and valley sides, lends itself to those seeking exciting sports and experiences like rock climbing.

The second property rises from the rock to sit prominently at the heart of the valley’s largest oasis, functioning as a gateway to exploration of the valley that continues beyond. The hotel entrance can be reached via a staircase ascending from the bottom of the valley. The third hotel is a wellness retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst tranquility and enchanting nature. The facade of the hotel is distinguished by its high-tech reflective mirrors, highlighting the beauty of the surrounding landscape and valley walls. This allows the natural passage of the valley through the hotel.
