The NEOM Media Village is a village that houses sound studios and film production support facilities, based in NEOM, northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was opened on September 14, 2022.
Studios of NEOM Media Village
The NEOM Media Village and the Bajdah Desert Studios witnessed the operation of three sound studios, producing films that meet demand from both regional and international production. During the trial operation period, they provided support for around twenty-five television and film productions.
The village includes a sound studio, spanning an area of 2,400 m², available for production, in addition to facilities including makeup rooms, green rooms, and production offices. Three more studios were built, while the Bajdah Desert Studios house two dome-shaped acoustic studios, each covering an area of three thousand m², and they have already been commissioned.
The studios will be home to world-class production facilities, including stationary production offices, decor stores, accessories and clothing stores, audio and sound effects facilities, as well as cameras, lighting equipment, heavy payload drones, cranes, elevators, and other major fixtures available at the two locations. Additionally, 350 fully-serviced housing units will be provided to ensure a comfortable and smooth experience for the actors and crews on the filming sites.
Incentives of NEOM Media Village
The NEOM Media Village applies a financial incentive program, offering up to a 40 percent refund to support film and television production (drama, reality TV, documentary programs), as well as commercial advertisements. This serves as an incentive for production managers to initiate their production activities in NEOM.
NEOM has assembled an international production team to meet the needs and requirements of producers and crews, aiming to provide an efficient and economically rewarding production experience, coinciding with the completion of the sound studios and production facilities.
