Boutique Group is a hospitality company owned by the public investment Fund (PIF). His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced its launch on 20 January 2022.
Responsibilities of Boutique Group
Boutique Group renovates historical and cultural palaces and converts them into properties that deliver a rich experience combining the hospitality heritage and contemporary lifestyle of Saudi Arabia. It also aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position regionally and internationally as a leading cultural tourism destination and contributes to the development of the local economy by diversifying tourism opportunities in the Saudi market in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
First Phase Boutique Group
The first phase of the project focuses on the development of three historical destinations in cooperation with the private sector. These destinations are: The Red Palace, which consists of 46 suites and 25 rooms, Tuwaiq Palace with 40 suites and 56 villas, both are located in Riyadh, and Al Hamra Palace in Jeddah which consists of 33 suites and 44 villas.
The group provides its basic services with a special service team of a personal assistant, a protocol officer, and a private chef, to offer their services for each guest around the clock, in addition to international restaurants and recreational facilities.
The collaboration between The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts and the Boutique Group
On 14 June 2022, The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts and Boutique Group, which is owned by the PIF, signed a memorandum of understanding for the purpose of strategic cooperation to implement several joint projects and plans that reflect the authentic identity of the Kingdom’s regions using traditional arts and crafts with their motif components.
This collaboration aims to re-present the Kingdom’s heritage in a contemporary elegance for the purpose of diversifying the tourism opportunities in the Saudi market, showcasing the historical significance of these arts in the hotels of Boutique Group, and enhancing the local product. Additionally, engaging the local community of craftsmen and art students with the Group’s projects by incorporating the handicrafts art pieces in the guests’ experience at the hotels of Boutique Group, and participating in the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and studies related to traditional art.
