Arar Airport is a domestic airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Located in Arar City, the administrative capital of the Northern Borders Province, north of the Kingdom, it is the third domestic airport established to serve the province in 1981. The airport underwent renovation and expansion works by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and partially started operating its new facilities at the end of 2019.

Arar Airport ranks third in terms of air traffic density among domestic airports in the Kingdom, following King Saud Airport in al-Bahah Province and Bisha Airport in Aseer Province. In 2019, it had a total of 3,332 departing and arriving flights, carrying 346 thousand passengers.
Arar Airport development project
The Arar Airport development project, inaugurated on February 17, 2021, increased its capacity to accommodate over one million passengers annually on ten thousand flights per year. After the expansion, the airport is now equipped to operate international destinations. Its design represents the letter "Ain," which represents the first letter of Arar in Arabic and can be seen from above as an optical eye.

Arar Airport is equipped with two passenger boarding bridges serving four airplanes and a passenger terminal with an area of 14,990 m, connected to it by six gates. It also includes the Royal Terminal with an area of 1,800 m, in addition to airport management buildings, a power station, cooling towers, a firefighting and rescue building, and parking facilities.
Executive Terminal at Arar Airport
On July 27, 2022, Arar Airport witnessed the inauguration of the new Executive Terminal (VIP Terminal), which is located on a total area of 1,080 m, with a 100 percent increase in capacity. It is one of the twenty-seven executive terminals being developed in the Kingdom's airports to align with the strategic vision and provide a distinctive experience for guests.
Arrival to Arar Airport
The airport is located approximately thirteen km away from the center of Arar city and can be reached within a quarter of an hour via King Fahd Road. It is about sixty-five km from the Jadidat Arar Land Port on the Saudi-Iraqi border.
