Al-Rayan Private Colleges
Al-Rayan Private Colleges are a group of private medical colleges located in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They offer academic programs in the field of medical and health sciences under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The colleges were established in 2017, and the first cohort graduated in 2022
Objectives of Al-Rayan Private Colleges
Al-Rayan Private Colleges are the first private medical colleges specializing in medical education in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. They were officially inaugurated in 2018 and aim to achieve administrative quality across all units and operations at the college level. They seek to ensure the quality of performance through a continuous self-evaluation system and to enhance performance through activities, seminars, lectures, and workshops. The colleges also publish studies, booklets, and newsletters, and offer Excellence Awards to motivate their staff.
Academic programs at Al-Rayan Private Colleges
Al-Rayan Private Colleges offer a number of academic programs in medical and health sciences, including a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, which is taught in English and has a duration of six years. The Bachelor’s degree in the College of Health Sciences includes the Clinical Pharmacy Program, which requires five years of study plus a one-year internship; the Nursing Program, which requires four years of study plus a one-year internship; and the Anesthesia Program, which also requires four years of study plus a one-year internship.
Facilities of Al-Rayan Private Colleges
Al-Rayan Private Colleges include a number of facilities, such as lecture halls, language laboratories, scientific laboratories, a health unit, and a sports center. They also feature a simulation center that replicates a hospital environment. The Research Center at Al-Rayan Private Colleges is an accredited unit by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. The colleges also feature a library that houses around ten thousand books across various fields and one hundred specialized scientific journals. In addition, the colleges include an anatomy museum displaying parts of the human body through various methods, along with a digital library that operates on a fully digital basis.
The first graduating class of Al-Rayan Private Colleges students
In March 2022, a graduation ceremony was held in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah for the first cohort of students from Al-Rayan Private Colleges. The graduating class included fifty male and female students in the fields of health sciences and nursing.
