Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini
Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Huwairini is the head of the State Security Presidency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, holding the rank of minister since 2017. He previously served as Director General of the General Directorate of Investigation (GDI).
Professional career of Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini
Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini advanced through various security roles until a Royal Order in 2005 promoted him to the rank of Lieutenant General. He was later promoted to the rank of General while serving as Director General of the General Directorate of Investigation.
On July 21, 2017, a Royal Order appointed him as head of the State Security with the rank of minister, while he continued to serve as Director General of the General Directorate of Investigation.
He was relieved of his position as Director General of the General Directorate of Investigation on May 29, 2022.

In addition to his role as head of the State Security, Abdulaziz Al-Huwairini has been a member of the Council of Political and Security Affairs since December 27, 2018. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Fund for Martyrs, Wounded, Prisoners of War, and Missing in Action.
