Azimuth AlUla 2022
Azimuth AlUla 2022 was a musical event that brought together international and local artists on the grounds of AlUla in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It took place on September 22, 2022, in the same valley that hosted the Desert X AlUla 2022 Exhibition and lasted for three days. The inaugural edition of Azimuth AlUla was held in 2020.
Azimuth AlUla 2022 events
The artistic events of the first day of Azimuth AlUla 2022 included several activities and a concert featuring artists such as Dorar, Solskin, Majed Jordan, Kelis, DJ Snake, Dish Dash, Damian Lazarus, Vinyl Mode, and Nomad. The second day's lineup included RDG, Kayan, Bird Person, CosmiKat, Disco Misr, Parov Stelar, Jason Derulo, Anmarz, Baloo, and BKR.
Azimuth AlUla hosted pop-up stores for local talents during the festival, showcasing specialized Saudi products and fashion designs. These included shops featuring the works of Saudi designers in fashion, perfumes, and jewelry. Lounge areas and seating zones were also provided for relaxation, alongside food trucks and temporary restaurants operating throughout the festival.
Arts at Azimuth AlUla 2022
The Azimuth AlUla 2022 event was held in the same valley that hosted the Desert X AlUla 2022 Exhibition to celebrate visual arts and musical creativity. Visitors of Azimuth AlUla could view exhibition pieces showcased at the Desert X AlUla 2022 Exhibition, such as "Gold Falls" by Serge Attukwei Clottey and "In Blur" by Alicja Kwade. The event also featured ten Saudi artists showcasing their contemporary artistic visions through their unique musical styles.
Services at Azimuth AlUla 2022
Azimuth AlUla 2020 offered various ticket options and packages to enter the event, including single-day and weekend passes with standard or premium tiers. Bundled packages, including hotel bookings and a ticket to attend the events, were also available for purchase. Attendees were provided shuttle buses between AlUla International Airport and Winter Park, in addition to taxi services and car rental options.
Camping options at Azimuth AlUla 2022
The event provided an opportunity for camping and adventure enthusiasts and allocated several camping areas, including:
Pangaea Area: Option one included a tent, camping gear, activities at the Pangaea Adventure Center, breakfast, transportation, and facilities. Option two included breakfast, Pangaea Adventure Center activities, and transport to the event.
Twenty-Six North: Option one, "Queen and Twin," featured a tent, air conditioning, breakfast, and facilities. Option two, "Queen," offered a luxury tent, air conditioning, breakfast, and facilities.
Husaak: Provided a single tent per person with two meals, airport transportation, and transport within the event.
Masarat: Included tents, two breakfasts, two dinners, barbecue, event transport, and airport transportation.
There are two dedicated free camping sites in AlUla where adventurers and campers can camp and enjoy AlUla's scenery. The first site is Qaa Al-Hajj, northeast of AlUla, and the second is Khaybar Road, southeast of AlUla.
