
Faleh Rajaallah Mune'a Al-Solami is the President of King Khalid University in Abha City. His appointment was issued by Royal Order in 2016. He has contributed to several public universities, serving as Consultant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and Vice Dean of Graduate Studies for Programs and Development in 2001, among other positions. He also held the position of Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Tabuk University, as well as Dean of Admission and Registration at Jazan University. Additionally, he was a former member of the Board of Trustees of Prince Fahd Bin Sultan University in Tabuk City.
Early life of Faleh Al-Solami
Faleh Al-Solami was born in al-Kamil Governorate, affiliated with Makkah al-Mukarramah Province, where he received his early education. He graduated from al-Ibrahimiyah School with a primary school certificate, then earned his intermediate and secondary school certificates from al-Kamil Intermediate and Secondary School. He later studied mathematics at the College of Science at King Abdulaziz University.

Faleh Al-Solami graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed a teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics at the same university. He was then awarded a scholarship to the United Kingdom to pursue higher studies, specializing in differential geometry. He earned his Ph.D. from Swansea University in Wales City in 1998.
After earning his doctorate, he was appointed assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at King Abdulaziz University in 1998. He was later promoted to associate professor in the same department in 2005, and by 2013, he became a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the university. He had also been seconded as a professor of mathematics at several universities, including Jazan University, where he served as an associate professor from 2006 to 2007, and Tabuk University, where he was a professor in the Department of Mathematics in 2009 and had previously been an associate professor there in 2007.

Faleh Al-Solami held several administrative positions at King Abdulaziz University. In 1998, he was appointed Secretary of the Department of Mathematics Council until 2005. He also served as Vice Dean of Graduate Studies for Programs and Development from 2001 to 2006. After nearly eight years, he was appointed Consultant to the university Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2014, a position he held until 2016, when he was appointed President of King Khalid University.
He was appointed Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Tabuk University in 2007. During that time, he also chaired the Teaching Assistants, Lecturers, Language Instructors, and Research Assistants Committee at the university. In 2008, he took on the role of head of multiple committees within the same university, including the Academic Affairs Committee, the Job Reclassification Committee, the Administrative Promotions Committee, the Bid Examination Committee, the Direct Purchase Committee, the Permanent Quality Committee, the Proposal Opening Committee, the Advisory Coordination Committee for Health Colleges, the Computer Allowance Committee, and the Scholarship and Training Committee. He also served as Chairman of the Scientific Council and Vice President of the university in 2007. In 2010, he was Acting Vice President for Development and Quality and served as Secretary of the University Council from 2007 to 2013.
Between 2006 and 2007, Faleh Al-Solami held several administrative positions at Jazan University. He served as the Dean of Admission and Registration, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Supervisor of the Computer Unit, and Director of the Information Technology Center. Additionally, he chaired the Permanent Committee for Admission and Registration, as well as the Jazan Testing Center under the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas). He also led the Committee for the Development of Admission and Registration for the Teachers College and the women's colleges affiliated with Jazan University, in addition to chairing the Permanent Committee for E-Learning Services.
Scientific contributions of Faleh Al-Solami
Faleh Al-Solami contributed to Saudi scientific advancement as a member and vice-chairman of the track "Graduate Studies" in Afaq Project, which outlines the future plan for university education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has several scientific contributions such as designing and implementing a total quality program for postgraduate studies at King Abdulaziz University. He also contributed to the database of approved academic thesis abstracts at the same university. In addition to authoring sixty-six studies and research papers, he is a peer reviewer in the field of differential geometry in several peer-reviewed journals.
