His Excellency Saleh Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al al-Sheikh (born in 1959) is Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Political and Security Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a former Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
His upbringing and education
He was born in the city of Riyadh. He is the grandson of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al al-Sheikh, the former Mufti of the Kingdom. He completed his basic education in the capital, Riyadh.
He joined the College of Engineering at King Saud University, from which he moved to the College of Fundamentals of Religion at Al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fundamentals of Religion.
His positions
After his graduation, Saleh Al al-Sheikh engaged in academic work at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion at Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University until 1995, when a Royal Order appointed him as Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawah, and Guidance. He held this position from 1999 until 2014. He resumed his role as minister on January 29, 2015, serving until June 2, 2018. Notably, he was the last minister to hold the position of Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawah, and Guidance, as the ministry's name changed to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance on May 7, 2016. On June 2, 2018, a Royal Order appointed him as Minister of State, a member of the Council of Ministers, and a member of the Council of Political and Security Affairs.
His writings
There are many scientific books and works for Saleh Al al-Sheikh, some of which were printed, including 'Attakmeel Lema Fat Takhreejoh Men 'Erwaa' al-Ghaleel', 'Mawsoo'at al-Kotob as-Settah', 'Attamheed fe Sharh Ketab Attawheed', and 'Khetab Ela al-Gharb Ro'wyah Men al-Saudiya' (oversight and review).
