
Harrat Ikwa is one of the dormant volcanic fields in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the oldest volcanoes in the Arabian Peninsula, and one of the three small Harrat (lava fields) located along the coastal plain of Jazan Province, including Abu Arish, Ikwa, and al-Qummah. Furthermore, it is regarded as one of the notable geo-tourism landmarks in the Kingdom.

Harrat Ikwa is located in the far southwest of the Kingdom, specifically northeast of Sabya Governorate, affiliated with Jazan Province. The land comprises two volcanic cones: Ikwa al-Shami Mountain (Northern), which is 286 m high, and Ikwa al-Yamani Mountain (Southern), which is 327 m high, making it the highest volcano in the lava field. The total area of Harrat Abu 'Arish, Harrat al-Qummah, and Harrat Ikwa is about 220 km.
