
Al-Hassan Yehia Al-Manakhra is a Saudi academic who has served as Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah for International Cooperation since 2021. Within the same ministry, he was also appointed General Supervisor of the Pilgrims Awareness Center. He has held various roles in both government and academic sectors, including Advisor at the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province, Executive Director of the Makkah Cultural Forum, and Dean of the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation at King Abdulaziz University.

Al-Hassan Al-Manakhra earned a Ph.D. in Education and Development from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. He also obtained a one-year postgraduate diploma in Talent and Creativity from the same university.
Professional life of Al-Hassan Al-Manakhra
Al-Hassan Al-Manakhra began his professional career at King Abdulaziz University, where he held several administrative positions, including supervising the Graduate Studies and Scholarship Unit at the English Language Institute in 2013. He also served as Advisor to the Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity from 2013 to 2016, contributing to the development of innovation programs and strengthening links between scientific research and the business sector. He later served as General Supervisor of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 2014 to 2016, managing initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and student empowerment.
He was appointed Head of the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department at the College of Graduate Educational Studies and Dean of the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation at King Abdulaziz University until 2021. He also served as Supervisor of Cultural Initiatives and Programs at the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province from 2016 to 2017, then as Executive Director of the Makkah Cultural Forum and Part-time Advisor to the Emirate from 2016 to 2019. His contributions included supporting the vision of “Building People and Developing Place” through cultural and developmental initiatives.
He has led initiatives aimed at enhancing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s global standing and contributed to policy development and international partnerships serving Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hassan Al-Manakhra has held memberships in various committees and bodies, including the Executive Committee for the Establishment of Souk Okaz at the Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province in 2016. From 2017 to 2021, he served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Institute for Moderation and Chair of its Executive Committee. He was also a member of the Board of King Abdulaziz University from 2018 to 2022, a member of the Subcommittee for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host Expo 2030 from 2023 to 2024, and a member of the Supervisory Committee for the Unified Hajj Media Center in 2025.
