
Ahmed Abdulaziz al-Yahya (born January 20, 1958) has been a member of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since October 20, 2020. He previously served as an advisor to the Minister of Finance and was assigned as acting governor of the State Properties General Authority (SPGA). He also worked as the director general of the Department of State Properties (currently the SPGA) and served as a financial auditor for several government entities.
Academic qualifications of Ahmed al-Yahya
Ahmed al-Yahya graduated from Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh with a bachelor’s degree in Sharia. He then obtained a higher diploma in financial oversight from the Institute of Public Administration.
Professional career of Ahmed al-Yahya
Ahmed al-Yahya held several positions, beginning with his appointment as a financial representative at the Ministry of Finance on September 19, 1982. He later served as a financial auditor for several government entities, a revenue auditor at the Ministry of Finance, and a financial advisor at the Minister of Finance's office. He also worked as an assistant director general of the General Directorate of Decisions and Rules, later becoming its director general. Additionally, he was assigned as acting director general of the Department of State Properties (currently the SPGA) and later as acting governor of the SPGA, in addition to serving as an advisor to the Minister of Finance.
Projects involving Ahmed al-Yahya
Ahmed al-Yahya was assigned to several projects, including the State Properties Survey and Inventory Project, the Infrastructure Project for the Amlak System, the Change Management and Training Project, the Development of Expropriation Mechanisms for Public Interest Project, and the Electronic Archiving Project for State Property Deeds. He also worked on the Amlak System and its infrastructure and contributed to various initiatives, including the leasing and acquisition of premises for some of Saudi Arabia’s official representations abroad.

Ahmed al-Yahya held memberships in several committees, including the State Lands Committee, the Higher Border Sanctuary Committee, the Real Estate Contributions Committee, the Regulations Committee, and the Permanent Committee for Coastal Environment Protection. He was also a member of the Supreme Council for Endowments, the Board of Directors of the Martyrs of the Grand Mosque Philanthropic Foundation, and the Permanent Committee for Coastal Environment Protection. Additionally, he served on the Technical Committee for al-Faisaliah Project in Makkah al-Mukarramah and was appointed to the Committee for the Development of Informal Settlements in the same province. He also served on the Supervisory Committee for al-Thumamah Park in Riyadh and held other memberships in various committees under the Bureau of Experts and other government entities and charitable councils.
During his tenure in the Shura Council, he served as Vice Chairman of the Water, Agriculture, and Environment Committee and was a member of the Fourth Parliamentary Friendship Committee, which includes the parliaments of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, North Macedonia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
