Mai al-Sharif holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the College of Arts at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, earned in 2005.
Mai al-Sharif’s professional career
Mai al-Sharif served as Director of the Research and Development Department at the General Administration of Corporate Communication in Riyadh Province Municipality from 2019 to 2021. She later became a Media Consultant in the same department in March 2021. In 2022, she was appointed Content Management Director at Independent Arabia, where she also oversaw the newspaper’s Riyadh Bureau starting in 2023. In 2024, she was promoted to Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Independent Arabia. On January 28, 2024, she was elected as a Board Member of the Saudi Journalists Association.
Additionally, she has published opinion articles in Makkah Newspaper and contributed political research papers to various think tanks.
