Aiman Mohammed al-Mudaifer is a Saudi engineer who has served as the Acting CEO of NEOM since November 12, 2024. He also holds multiple positions in both the public and private sectors and oversees investment portfolios.
Aiman al-Mudaifer's academic qualifications
Aiman al-Mudaifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran. He also completed a certification program in Credit offered by Chase Manhattan Bank in partnership with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF).
Aiman al-Mudaifer's professional career
Aiman al-Mudaifer began his professional career as a credit consultant at the SIDF. He was later appointed as the CEO of Shomoul Holding Company, the founder and CEO of Alandalus Property Company, and the head of licensing management in the investigations department at the Capital Market Authority 'CMA.'
Aiman al-Mudaifer has served as the head of the General Department of Local Real Estate Investments at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) since 2018. He also chairs the board of directors of the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Management and Development Company.
He oversees two investment portfolios: the Saudi Mega Projects Portfolio, which includes five major transformative projects such as NEOM, the Red Sea Project, Qiddiya, ROSHN, and Diriyah, and a portfolio focused on real estate investments and infrastructure development in the Kingdom. This portfolio consists of approximately fifty investments across various sectors, including entertainment, retail, and essential infrastructure. These projects contribute to supporting modern urban life, enhancing critical infrastructure, and positioning the Kingdom as a tourism destination.
Aiman al-Mudaifer's memberships
Aiman al-Mudaifer has served as a member of the Administrative Committee and the Investment Committee at the PIF. He has also held board memberships in several companies, including Diriyah Gate Development Company Ltd and Soudah Development. Additionally, he has been a member of boards of national authorities such as the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Saudi Red Sea Authority.
