Fahd Hassan Al Aqran (born 1967) is a Saudi journalist and a member of the Shura Council since September 6, 2024. He previously held the position of President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). He was awarded the Order of King Abdulaziz of the Second Class in 2021.

Fahd Al Aqran earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial engineering, followed by a doctorate in business administration specializing in administrative leadership.
Fahd Al Aqran's professional life
Fahd Al Aqran held several positions within the Savola Group from 1991 to 1999. He also served as Editor-in-Chief of al-Madina newspaper from 2001 to 2021.
He worked as a lecturer in marketing and advertising at the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom. He also served as a faculty member at the College of Business Administration and in the Department of Media at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University.
He was appointed as an advisor to the Minister of Media on May 1, 2019. He then served as President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) from February 7, 2021, to September 5, 2024. Additionally, he was elected as President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) from January 11, 2022, to September 2024.
Fahd Al Aqran memberships
Fahd Al Aqran held memberships in several committees and chaired others, including the Consultative Committee of Jeddah Municipality, the Saudi International Chamber of Commerce Center, and the Saudi Association for Media and Communication.
In 2011, Al Aqran became a member of the Advisory Committee at the Faculty of Economics and Administration at King Abdulaziz University. The following year, he joined the Higher Advisory Board at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, became a board member of the Gulf Press Federation, and served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Saudi Journalists Association. He was also appointed Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Journalists Association, chaired the Supreme Media Committee for Islamic, Arab, and Gulf Summits in Makkah al-Mukarramah, served as Secretary of the Media Committee for the G20, and led the Media Team for Saudi Vision 2030 at the Ministry of Media.
He assumed the presidency of the Development Committee of the Saudi Press Agency on September 4, 2019, and was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Press Agency as an expert and advisor. He was also appointed as a member of the Quality of Life Program Committee, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 realization programs, representing the Ministry of Media on February 27, 2021. Additionally, he chaired the General Assembly of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) on February 2, 2022, and has represented the Ministry of Media on the Board of Directors of Jeddah Central Development Company since 2022.
