Tariq Hamdiis a Saudi Olympic champion in karate. His beginnings were at al-Jubayl Club, then he moved to al-Wehda Club for one year before signing with al-Hilal Club. He represented the national team in several international events, with his most notable achievement being the silver medal at the Olympics and being named the Best Promising Player in the world.

Tariq Hamdi's career

Despite his love of football, his father preferred karate for him, so he joined al-Jubayl Club at the age of ten. While he was a child, he earned the yellow belt and began participating in the Saudi junior national team. His first participation was in 2012. In this event, hosted by Uzbekistan, Tariq Hamdi won the bronze medal as the first international medal with the national team.

In 2015, he won the Asian Youth Gold Medal in Jakarta. In 2016, he was named the Best Promising Player in the world. He won the silver medal at the Tokyo 2020  Olympics. In the Asian Senior Championship in 2021, he won the gold medal.
