The Scientific Judicial Portal is an interactive digital platform launched by the Ministry of Justice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2021. The platform encompasses the largest judicial and legal database in the Kingdom. It provides access for the parties to the judicial process to view all the final commercial rulings issued by first-instance courts, appellate courts, and the Supreme Court, as well as judicial documents, through flexible interactive tools.

Importance of the Scientific Judicial Portal

The Scientific Judicial Portal facilitates access for legal and judicial professionals, including judges, judicial assistants, lawyers, law trainees, litigants, academics, prosecutors, and graduate students and researchers, to judicial rulings at all levels through a search engine that includes thousands of documents and classifications of commercial rulings and their appeals issued from September 21, 2017.

Objectives of the Scientific Judicial Portal

Through its unified electronic data platform, the Scientific Judicial Portal aims to propel the ranking of the judiciary in the Kingdom, enhance it internationally and nationally, increase transparency within the sector to support the Business Resilience Index, facilitate direct access to judgments for justice professionals, and promote researchers and research centers by providing information in the field of judiciary.

Contents of the Scientific Judicial Portal

The Scientific Judicial Portal has been categorized into a collection of content titled by category, including the following: all commercial court rulings, rulings of the higher commercial courts in the Kingdom, bankruptcy rulings, the Law of Procedure Before Shari'ah Courts and its Implementing Regulations, the Law of Criminal Procedure and its Implementing Regulations, a judicial glossary, judicial regulations, and documentation and enforcement indicators.

Furthermore, the portal through its open data section provides access to real estate indicators for neighborhoods, cities, and provinces. It allows users to view information on traded and executed transactions over a specific period (monthly, quarterly, annually), track the most active neighborhoods, and explore details of executed transactions in neighborhoods and plots, including prices.

The portal also includes a judicial indicators service, providing beneficiaries with the volume of cases received in the first-instance courts for general, criminal, personal affairs, and commercial cases in all regions of the Kingdom.
