Flynas is a low-cost airline in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, operating around 1,500 flights weekly to seventy destinations (domestic and international), with a fleet comprising sixty-four aircraft. It was established in 2007 and is headquartered in the capital, Riyadh.

Flynas flights

On February 17, 2007, the very first Flynas flight took off. The airline operates domestic and international flights weekly, headed toward three continents across the world, namely Asia, Europe, and Africa. Its domestic destinations are about fourteen, the latest of which was added in 2021, to al-Ula Governorate directly, with two flights landing weekly at its international airport, Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport.

Flynas uses a blue-green color scheme for its visual identity, which is applied to its aircraft starting from the front and extending upwards to the top of the tail. The name "Flynas" is displayed in Arabic near the tail and in English towards the front of the aircraft.

Flynas fleet

The Flynas fleet comprises sixty-four aircraft, most of which are modern, eco-friendly A320neo, amounting to forty-seven airplanes, in addition to thirteen A320ceo aircraft and four A330 wide-body aircraft.

Flynas signed an order to purchase thirty A320neo aircraft on the sidelines of the 2030 Paris Air Show as part of an agreement to buy 120 new aircraft from Airbus, comprising both A320neo and A321neoXLR, valued at SAR46 billion. Flynas also announced the approval of its Board of Directors on a purchase order for an additional 130 aircraft, bringing the total order from Airbus to 250 aircraft.

Flynas achievements

Flynas secured fourth place as the best low-cost airline in the world and the Middle East for 2023, achieving this for the sixth consecutive year, after 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. An award granted by Skytrax, which is regarded as the most significant global standard to evaluate performance in aviation and air transport. Furthermore, Flynas was granted the Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East Award from the World Travel Awards for nine consecutive years, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Additionally, it achieved the highest APEX rating with four-star class, the highest class for low-cost airlines globally. Since its launch in 2007, Flynas transported over sixty million passengers on its flights.
