It is a program offered by the Human Resources Development Fund in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It seeks to target private and non-profit enterprises. It aims at increasing localization, providing citizens with job opportunities, and achieving enterprises' stability. In this respect, the fund covers a part of the employee's salary. The program supports all full-time positions in both sectors.
The program offers its support according to specific requirements to be met. The support value is calculated following a specified mechanism. It also offers additional support upon providing opportunities in workplaces where employment opportunities are scarce, or when these opportunities are made available to women or individuals with disabilities. It supports small and medium enterprises and enterprises impacted by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund also launches campaigns targeting specific sectors or positions.
The first support amounts were disbursed in 2020. It covered those who have assumed their positions as of July 1, 2019, and the coverage had a retroactive effect. The support value of the first payment amounted to about SAR51 million, offered to beneficiary enterprises for supporting the employment of around 22,000 male and female citizens in the private sector.
