Centers of Research Excellence Program at King Saud University

The Centers of Research Excellence Program at King Saud University is one of the university's programs in Riyadh City, established to serve as a link between the university's research excellence centers and the Ministry of Education.

The overarching objective of the Centers of Research Excellence Program at King Saud University is to oversee operations, address challenges, and serve as a link between the centers at the university and the Ministry of Education. This ensures that the goals outlined in the establishment contracts of these centers are met and that their missions align with one another as well as with similar centers at other universities in Saudi Arabia.

The program seeks to monitor and support the work of the research excellence centers at the university to help them achieve the national strategic objectives for which they were established. It also aims to establish world-class research excellence centers and integrate them into building a knowledge-based society, while creating an environment conducive to innovation and creativity. The goal is to enhance their capabilities to implement their approved current and future work plans.

King Saud University hosts several research excellence centers, including the Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials, the Center of Excellence in Biotechnology Research, the Excellence Center of Science and Mathematics Education, and the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance.
