The Scientific Journal of King Faisal University: Basic and Applied Science is a peer-reviewed, semi-annual journal specializing in basic and applied sciences. It is published under the guidance of the Scientific Council of King Faisal University. The journal aims to enhance the university's scientific research output and enrich scientific production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab community.

The first issue of the Scientific Journal of King Faisal University: Basic and Applied Science was published in 2000. It is published in June and December and is indexed on the digital research platform 'Scopus.' The journal operates according to a development plan prepared based on the opinions of its publishers and several stakeholders, in consultation with its editorial team, in alignment with the strategies of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university, and to support Saudi Vision 2030.
