Opened in 2023 in KAEC, Rabigh to produce EVs in a historic milestone for the Kingdom, 'AMP-2' plant targets the assembly of five thousand vehicles annually in the first phase, with projected production reaching 155,000 EVs annually once all phases of the plant are complete.
Saudi Green Initiative goal
"Lucid Group" confirmed that its electric vehicles will be produced for offering in the Saudi market and exporting to other markets. "Lucid" contributes to the goal of the Saudi Green Initiative, aiming for at least 30 percent of vehicles in the Kingdom to be electric by 2030.
'AMP-2' plant has commenced the assembly of loose vehicle components, with the initial phase of the plant's operation focusing on reassembling 'parts' of Lucid Air vehicles that were previously manufactured at the company's 'AMP-1' facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, USA.
