The SDAIA Academy is one of the initiatives of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was launched in 2021 to develop and advance national capabilities and competencies by leading various activities and programs, in cooperation with local, global, and regional entities in the data and artificial intelligence (AI) sector. The academy works to qualify and build national human resources, connecting them to future careers in this sector, and empowering them through specialized programs and camps aligned with modern, global standards and practices.

The academy targets the age group from eighteen to sixty years, and registration is free for both men and women. Its camps, programs, and initiatives are held in the capital, Riyadh, and upon completion, graduates receive accredited certificates.

Objectives of SDAIA Academy

SDAIA Academy aims to develop programs that enhance national capabilities in data and AI. The academy focuses on creating and implementing skill development initiatives as part of the National Strategy for Data and AI. To achieve this, it forms partnerships with universities and academic institutions to train talent and build competencies. Additionally, it analyzes and monitors labor market trends to identify skill requirements, working to address these needs effectively.

Programs of SDAIA Academy

SDAIA Academy offers four distinct programs: the National Capacity Building Program for Data Science Specialists, the Data and AI Awareness Program, the SDAIA Customers Program, and the Cooperative Training Program. The National Capacity Building Program is designed specifically for data science specialists, supporting their capabilities and enhancing their skills. Meanwhile, the Data and AI Awareness Program introduces AI technologies, emphasizes the importance of data sciences for both governments and individuals, and highlights their role in driving economic growth.

The academy is continually enhancing its programs and implementing training initiatives aligned with SDAIA's strategic focus on priority sectors, including smart cities, healthcare, energy, environment, security, and government. It has also established global partnerships with leading technology and computing companies, such as IBM and Dell, to build specialized programs and skill development opportunities.

SDAIA Academy and the development of cognitive capacities

The SDAIA Customers Program is designed for public and private sector organizations that use SDAIA’s products and services. It focuses on developing and enhancing their capabilities to understand and maximize these services and systems, ultimately contributing to improved outcomes and business development in their sectors. Additionally, the SDAIA Cooperative Training Program offers university male and female students on-the-job training aligned with best practices, aimed at increasing their knowledge, personal skills, and specialized expertise to better prepare them for the labor market.
