List of the Islamic University of al-Madinah al-Munawarah's Colleges

The Islamic University of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah was established in 1961. Several specializations are taught through nine colleges. Some of the colleges are concerned with Shariah and the Arabic language, while others focus on scientific specializations, such as computer, engineering, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The colleges are as follows:

College of Shariah

Established in 1961, it comprises three departments: Fiqh, Fundamentals of Fiqh, and Islamic Economics.

College of Dawah and Usuluddeen

Established in 1966, it comprises four departments: Aqidah, Dawah and Islamic Culture, History, and Education.

College of the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies

Established in 1974, it is the first college of its kind in the Islamic world. This college is renowned for its unique prerequisite, mandating the memorization of the entire Holy Quran for prospective students. It comprises two departments: Tafsir and Qira'at.

College of Noble Hadith and Islamic Studies

Established in 1976, it comprises two departments: Hadith Sciences and Sunnah Fiqh and Sources.

College of Arabic Language

Established in 1975, it offers the following programs:

Bachelor's Program in Arabic Language Sciences and Literature, Higher Diploma Program in Arabic Language, Higher Diploma Program in Media and Communication, Master's Program in linguistics, literature and rhetoric, and media, and Ph.D. Program in linguistics, literature and rhetoric.

College of Engineering

Inaugurated in 2013, it offers a number of academic programs: Master's of Science in Engineering and Technology Management, Master of Science Program in Mechatronics and Robotics, Master's of Science in Renewable Energy, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

The College of Computer Science and Information Systems

The College of Computer Science and Information Systems was established in 2011 and started effective teaching in the academic year 2013-2014. It has three departments: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Systems.

College of Science

Approval for its establishment was issued in 2010, and its academic journey began in 2012-2013. The college comprises the following departments: Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

College of Law and Judicial Studies

The decision to establish it was issued in 2018, and it includes two departments: Law and Judicial Studies.
