Nawaf al-Temyat (born 1976) is a former player for al-Hilal SFC and the Saudi national team. He served as the vice president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. He received the title of Best Asian Player in 2000 and contributed to his club al-Hilal SFC achieving several championships. He represented the Saudi national team in many tournaments, the most important of which was the FIFA World Cup three consecutive times.
Nawaf al-Temyat's career with al-Hilal SFC
Nawaf al-Temyat played for al-Hilal SFC throughout his sports career and was able to achieve many accomplishments. He won the Saudi League Championship five times: in 1996, 1998, 2002, 2005, and 2008.
He also won the Crown Prince Cup with al-Hilal SFC four times in the years 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2006, and the Saudi Federation Cup three times in the years 1996, 2000, and 2006.
At the Arab level, al-Temyat achieved with al-Hilal SFC the Arab Elite Cup in 2001, the Egyptian-Saudi Super Cup in 2001, the International Friendship Cup in 2000, the Arab Cup Winners' Cup in 2000, the Gulf Club Champions Cup in 1998, and the Arab Club Champions Cup once in 1996.
At the Asian level, Nawaf al-Temyat won the Asian Club Championship in 2000, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup in 1997 and 2002, and the Asian Super Cup in 1997 and 2000.
Nawaf al-Temyat's career with the national team
Nawaf al-Temyat participated with the Saudi national team in sixty-three international matches during which he scored eleven goals. He began with the national team in the Arab Cup in 1998, which the Saudi national team won, then achieved fourth place in the Confederations Cup in Mexico in 1999. He participated with the Saudi national team in three FIFA World Cup tournaments: the 1998 World Cup in France, the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, and the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Retirement of Nawaf al-Temyat
Nawaf al-Temyat suffered consecutive injuries. On August 27, 2008, he announced his permanent retirement from football. His testimonial match took place on January 2, 2010, against the Italian team Inter Milan. After his retirement, he became a member of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and then its vice president.
