The Saudi Jurisprudence Society is a non-profit charitable scientific Saudi society. It operates under the supervision of al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University. It specializes in jurisprudence and jurists. The society aims to support communication between specialists in jurisprudence and its fundamentals, including judges, scholars, and university professors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through scientific meetings, seminars, and lectures. It also seeks to simplify jurisprudence sciences for Muslims, according to the correct Islamic methodology.

Establishment of the Saudi Jurisprudence Society

It was established on November 12, 2000, and its headquarters is located in the College of Sharia in Riyadh. The society issues a specialized scientific journal on Islamic jurisprudence and its fundamentals. It has published thirty-six peer-reviewed jurisprudential studies on the COVID-19 pandemic, prepared by researchers from within the Kingdom and abroad.

Objectives of the Saudi Jurisprudence Society

The society includes several committees, including: the Scientific Research and Publication Committee, the Media and Public Relations Committee, the Seminars and Scientific Meetings Committee, and the Financial Committee. The society aims to develop scientific thought in jurisprudence, foster its growth, study contemporary jurisprudential issues, care for, preserve, study, and disseminate the jurisprudential heritage, and foster communication among jurists in the Islamic world.

The society aspires to provide scientific advice in the field of jurisprudence and its principles by participating in media outlets, offering jurisprudential programs, organizing a series of scientific forums that bring together jurists from the Islamic world, and creating a database containing scientific dissertations in the field of jurisprudence and its fundamentals.
