The Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), established on April 14, 2014, undertakes several responsibilities related to dispute settlement and its alternatives. In addition to arbitration and mediation, the center sets clear guidelines for determining arbitrator fees and provides necessary support for their qualification. SCCA tasks include:
- Providing training and qualification in the field of arbitration.
- Spreading the culture of arbitration and supporting research activities therein.
- Preparing a list of arbitrators in the SCCA's area of specialization.
- Managing arbitration procedures and related rules and agreements.
- Representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at both national and international levels.
- Setting guiding standards for determining the fees and expenses of arbitrators registered with SCCA.
- Supervising arbitration procedures agreed upon by the parties to be settled within the SCCA's framework and according to its rules.
