Ad-Dawadmi Governorate is one of the governorates in Riyadh Province, rich in rock drawings, writings, and inscriptions. The area is home to numerous sites dating back to the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic periods. Among the rock art and inscriptions in the governorate are:

Masel al-Jumh Mountains Site

Two historical inscriptions written in the Sabaean script were discovered at this site. The first inscription belongs to King Abu Karib As'ad, one of the Himyarite Tubba kings, and dates back to the first third of the fifth century. The second inscription is attributed to King Ma'dikarib of Himyar in 516. Both inscriptions refer to military campaigns against certain tribes in central Arabia.

Qubay’ah and Safaqah sites

Several inscriptions, rock drawings, and Islamic writings have been discovered at these sites, dating back to prehistoric times and the fifth century CE.

Thahlan mountain range site

Groups of rock drawings depicting human and animal figures, as well as symbols and markings, are spread throughout the Thahlan Mountain Range. Among these is the "Matyawi Dal'ah" site located in the southwestern part of the range, which features drawings of lions in various sizes, along with depictions of a group of people dancing.

Hulayt site

A collection of inscriptions and Islamic writings has been documented at this site, offering new insights into the history and civilization of Riyadh Province during the early Islamic period. Rock inscriptions dating back to the eighth century were found, including requests for forgiveness and mercy.

Musaikara site

It consists of a sandstone plateau surrounded by rock inscriptions and drawings.

Ashqar al-Burraqah site

Located in the Aswadah Mountains, southwest of ad-Dawadmi Governorate, this site contains drawings of wild animals, symbolizing the practice of agriculture in the governorate.

Wadi 'Urwah Site

On the northern bank of the valley, dark-colored rocky hills were found, with early Islamic inscriptions and some human figures carved on their northern face.

Al-Dha'inah Plateau site

Located in the eastern part of ad-Dawadmi Governorate, this site has revealed numerous animal drawings and scribbles created during different periods.
