The Freelancing Program aims to diversify opportunities for job seekers to engage in freelancing, raise community awareness about the concept of freelancing and the available opportunities, enable those interested to engage in freelance activities, contribute to providing additional income and increasing individuals' income, and enhance safety and credibility.
As part of the program, the Freelance Work Document was issued, which is an approved document from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. It enables individuals to register in various activities and allows them to work independently in activities approved by the ministry through the Freelance Work Portal.
The document contributes to the stability and continuous creativity of freelance professionals, provides the opportunity to open a (commercial) bank account, and offers digital payment solutions.
As part of the Kingdom's efforts to encourage freelancing, many partnerships and initiatives have been launched. These include the initiative by the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, to support Saudi men and women working in delivery services through applications, with monthly support of up to SAR3,000.
