It is a Saudi joint-stock company established by Ministerial Resolution No. 305/Q dated 2010 and registered under Commercial Registration No. 1010150661 in 1998 in Riyadh City. The company's capital is SAR430 million, divided into forty-three million ordinary shares with a fully paid nominal value of SAR10 per share.
In 2021, the company's shares were offered for trading on the Saudi 'Tadawul' after the Saudi Stock Exchange 'Tadawul' announced the successful completion of the book-building process for the institutional tranche of Theeb Car Rental Company’s shares, setting the final offering price at SAR40 per share.
The company was founded in 1991 when it launched its first branch in al-Malaz District in the center of Riyadh City, with a fleet of no more than fifty cars.
Currently, it is considered one of the largest car rental companies in the Kingdom, with fifty-two branches across all major regions (central, western, eastern, northern, and southern), including fifteen branches in airports. The company employs more than 1,300 staff members and operates a fleet of over 23,000 cars. Its branches cover international, regional, and domestic airports in major cities across the Kingdom.
