Al-Bahah, located southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the smallest of the thirteen administrative provinces. It covers an area of about twelve thousand km, and makes up 0.6 percent of the Kingdom, with a population of 497,068 people, according to the 2019 census.
Al-Bahah City is the seat of the emirate, whose nine governorates are divided into two categories (A) and (B.) Category (A) includes Baljurashi, al-Mandaq, and al-Makhwah, while category (B) involves six governorates: al-Aqiq, Qilwah, al-Qura, Bani Hasan, Ghamed al-Zinad, and Hajrah. Each governorate includes a number of administrative centers, with a total of forty-two centers.
