The area of the Grand Mosque after the completion of the projects in the third Saudi expansion north of the Holy Mosque in Makkah is approximately 1,371,000 m. Its prayer halls can accommodate around 1,700,000 worshipers.
The area of the Grand Mosque is distributed across its indoor prayer halls, outdoor courtyards, various floors, expansions, the Mataf and Masaa areas, and the roofs.
The courtyards of the Grand Mosque are known for providing all the necessary services for the visitors and pilgrims of the House of Allah. These services include Suqia Zamzam water coolers, a sufficient quantity of carpets and rugs, in addition to mats designated for the entrances and doors, and paths designated for pedestrians at the entrances to the courtyards leading to the doors of the Grand Mosque.
In all the facilities and courtyards of the Grand Mosque, some services include Qurans in various sizes, Quranic translations, and Braille Qurans designed for visually impaired individuals. Additionally, there are services such as wheelchairs used by senior citizens for performing the rituals of Tawaf and Sa'i.
