The Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition is overseen by the Agency of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque. It covers the history of the architecture of the Prophet's Mosque and the various stages it has undergone from the time of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH), to the era of the kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located to the south of the Prophet's Mosque, covering an area of over 2,200 m, and includes rare artifacts and modern technological displays. The exhibition was inaugurated in 2022.

The Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition summarizes the efforts of more than 1,400 years of Islamic architecture, showcasing its engineering, decorative, and urban designs. It focuses on the architectural aspects of the mosque, highlighting its significance, uniqueness, and the virtue of its construction. The exhibition aims to raise awareness about the importance of preserving Islamic heritage and offers visitors the opportunity to experience the evolution of the architecture of the Prophet's Mosque.
Within the Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition, visitors can learn in detail about the features of the Prophet's Mosque, including the pulpit, mihrab, doors, domes, umbrellas, as well as the muezzins, the call to prayer, minarets, and courtyards. The exhibition employs eight guides who speak several languages, including Arabic, Urdu, and English. The exhibition presents its content in multiple languages through wall panels and interactive screens.
The content of the Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition has been translated into twelve languages, with audio translations available to allow visitors to listen to all the exhibition's content using modern technologies. The exhibition opens to visitors in two shifts: the first from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The exhibition includes a hall for cinema and television films, as well as a hall for rare and valuable artifacts, including precious items from the Two Holy Mosques that have been preserved through the ages. A visitor requires forty minutes to tour the exhibition, with each tour accommodating up to thirty visitors. This exhibition is part of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to enrich the visitor experience and highlight the services and architectural efforts dedicated to the Prophet's Mosque.
Modern technologies of the Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition
The Architecture of Prophet's Mosque Exhibition has over 187 interactive screens, enabling visitors to quickly and attractively access information about the mosque's architectural history and all related information. Additionally, there are thirty-five large display screens in visual exhibition halls built with modern technologies. Before leaving, visitors can watch the film "The Veneration of the Two Holy Mosques" in the cinema hall.
Visitors to the exhibition can view architectural models and replicas of the Prophet's Mosque's expansions throughout history. They can also see the pulpit of Sultan al-Ashraf Qaytbay, which he gifted to the mosque in 1483 and remained there until 1590. This pulpit is considered a rare artistic masterpiece. In addition, the exhibition features rare artifacts and relics from the Prophet's Mosque.
