Saudi Chemical Company began its operations in the field of civil explosives manufacturing and owns three factories located in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province. It also has distribution warehouses in Abha, in the southern region. The company supplies the local market with essential materials and support for all civil blasting operations, in addition to exporting to all Gulf and Arab countries as well as friendly nations. The company produces the following materials: Perilex, Chemo, Lex, and Sanil capsules. These products have received the ISO 9000/2000 international quality certification. The company has actively participated in most infrastructure projects carried out in the Kingdom, such as roads, airports, bridges, tunnels, mining projects, quarries, trenches, terraces, land leveling, building demolitions, and water wells. The company is also active in the military sector, having established a specialized industrial base in these fields. The company acquired 99 percent of the shares of Saudi International Trading Company Limited (SITCO), which is one of the major pharmaceutical and medical solution trading companies, to expand its activities and diversify its services.
