Where Is the King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services (IMI) Located?
The King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services is located in Ras al-Khair, near al-Jubayl Industrial City in the Eastern Province on the eastern coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The complex is the largest maritime industry complex in the Kingdom and the largest in the region in terms of production capacity and scope. It was established with the aim of localizing industries in the energy sector.
The complex covers an area of five kmand extends for a distance of four km along the eastern coast of Ras al-Khair. It consists of four operational zones, which include seven dry docks and seventeen different types of berths.
The King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services aims to achieve several objectives, including leveraging maritime production, diversifying sources of economic income, contributing to building local manufacturing and design capabilities, and providing unprecedented products and services in the region.
