The company commenced its operations with a capital of SAR5 billion, divided into one hundred million shares with a nominal value of SAR50 per share. Under Capital Market Authority Resolution No. 4-154-2006 dated March 27, 2006, the company split the share into five shares with a nominal value of SAR10 per share, thereby increasing the issued shares to five hundred million shares. The company's capital was increased to SAR7 billion by issuing two hundred million shares of priority rights, the subscription for which ended on November 9, 2008. On January 12, 2013, the General Assembly approved the recommendation of the Board of Directors to increase the company's capital from SAR7,000 million to SAR7,700 million, divided into 770 million shares, with a nominal value of SAR10 per share.

Mobily, pursuant to Council of Ministers Resolution No. 189 dated August 10, 2004, obtained a license to establish and operate a mobile phone network with all its components and provide all its services at the local and international levels through its own network.
