Ad-Dilam Governorate is one of the governorates of Riyadh Province, in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has an estimated population of 54,882 people, according to Saudi Census 2022. Ad-Dilam Governorate is located twenty-five km from al-Kharj Governorate. It was previously the headquarters of al-Kharj Governorate.
Transferring the center of ad-Dilam to ad-Dilam Governorate
In 2017, the King approved the transformation of the center of ad-Dilam into a governorate, and at that time administrative and financial regulations began to be taken by the Emirate of the Riyadh Province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Finance, to organize administrative matters and allocate the necessary funds.

The Cave of Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud, ad-Dilam Wall, the popular ad-Dilam market 'al-Mashab', Jabal Abu Walad, ad-Dhahi Forest, the ruins and springs of Khafs Daghrah, Wathaylan Park, and al-Furai ruins in Zamiqa are among the most prominent landmarks and historical evidence documenting the history of the governorate.

Residents and visitors of ad-Dilam Governorate use King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, which is the closest international airport to it. It is an international airport with a capacity of about twelve million passengers annually.
Wadi Mawan in ad-Dilam Governorate
Wadi Mawan, also known as the Hidden Valley, is situated to the west of ad-Dilam Governorate. Within the sturdy rocks of the Tuwaiq Mountains, it has split open, giving rise to this magnificent valley characterized by its depth, vistas, and high cliffs. Wadi Mawan has split open, with water cascading through it, while a cluster of acacia trees encircles its rocky periphery. Wadi Mawan contains a rock formation, and after the rainy season, water remains in it for several months due to the sun not reaching the bottom of the valley. Wadi Mawan extends in the Tuwaiq Mountains for seventy km and includes several water channels, springs, some settlements, and forts. Wadi Mawan serves as an ecological park that attracts visitors from nearby provinces and cities, especially during the rainy and spring seasons.
Agriculture in ad-Dilam Governorate
Ad-Dilam Governorate is an integrated agricultural site, supervised by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) in the governorate. Laboratories have been established to examine agricultural products. The Agricultural Cooperative Society in ad-Dilam has been registered since 1973 to support and encourage farmers in increasing the productive efficiency of agricultural crops in ad-Dilam Governorate. MEWA office encouraged farmers to enhance the production efficiency of agricultural crops, particularly organic agriculture. Furthermore, the office organized the inaugural Vegetable Festival in 2022, attracting over one hundred exhibitors and exceeding ten thousand visitors.
