Marrat Governorate is located north of Riyadh Province, 157 km northwest of the capital, Riyadh. It is bordered to the north by Shaqra Governorate, to the east by Thadiq, Huraymila, Duruma, and ad-Dawadimi governorates to the west, and al-Quway'iyyah Governorate to the south.
