Sarat Abidah Governorate is a governorate in Aseer Province in the southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a mountainous urban city nestled in the heights of the Sarawat Mountains. It occupies a central position amidst the province's population centers. According to the 2022 Saudi Census, the governorate is home to 57,123 residents, placing it seventh in terms of population among the Aseer Province's governorates.
Ten centers are administratively affiliated with the governorate. These include al-Farsha, Wadi al-Haya, al-Asran, al-Arqeen, Sabt Bani Bishr, Jawf al-Muammar, Khashem Anqar, and Ain al-Lawi.
Sarat Abidah Governorate is situated southwest of Aseer Province, about eighty-five km southwest of the city of Abha, the seat of the province’s emirate. It is bordered from the north by the governorates of Tarib, Ahad Rufaydah, and Khamis Mushayt; from the west by Ahad Rufaydah; from the east and south by Dhahran al-Janub Governorate; and from the south by the Jazan Province. It is famous for its Thursday Market and the archaeological village of Al khalaf.
