The establishment of Cruise Saudi was announced in 2021. The first cruise was launched by a giant ship that sailed from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to local and regional destinations in July 2021.
By 2025, the cruise ship terminal is expected to create around fifty thousand job opportunities. The terminal would enable an increase in cruise ships. Moreover, it would open new ports, and welcome more than 1.5 million guests annually to the Kingdom by 2028.
Jeddah Islamic Port as a cruise ship terminal
Jeddah Islamic Port was selected as the gateway for the arrival and departure of cruise ships in the Kingdom due to its strategic importance. Moreover, it is located at a short distance from tourism centers in Jeddah and overlooks the Red Sea Coast. The cruise passenger hall has been expanded to accommodate around 2,500 passengers.
Cruise Saudi has partnered with MSC Cruises, which specializes in cruise tourism, to provide experiences in accordance with international standards that meet the aspirations of tourists.

Cruise Saudi comprises various tourist facilities, such as swimming pools, restaurants, malls, cinemas, entertainment programs, and theaters for exclusive shows. As the most outstanding ship, MSC Bellissima is the leading ship for these cruises. It includes a ninety-six m promenade topped by a dome and is surrounded by multiple activity rooms to be used at all times.
