Al-Qadimah Neighborhood or Hillat al-Qadimah, is one of the old neighborhoods of Riyadh City within the old walls. It is located in the southeast part of the city, south of al-Thumairi Street, north of al-Qura Street, and east of Dakhna. It was inhabited by many families of princes, scholars, poets, and craftsmen.
Another neighborhood, al-Daho, intersects with Hillat al-Qadimah, particularly in its southwest part. Al-Daho is one of the small neighborhoods of Riyadh. It was named al-Daho (formerly) because it was densely populated, eventually becoming a residence for some low-income individuals. In this neighborhood, there are special places and endowments, including: mills, grinding stones, and wheat chutes, which were used to make flour and Jareesh on those large grinding stones and stone-made threshers.
