Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal was born in Riyadh, and he is the eldest son of Prince Mishaal Bin Saud, the former Governor of Najran Province.
He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from King Saud University in Riyadh in 1982. He also obtained a Master's degree in Political Science from California State University, Chico, in the United States in 1988. Furthermore, he earned a Ph.D. in the same field from Durham University in the United Kingdom in 2000.
The early career of Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal
After graduating from King Saud University in 1982, Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal joined the Ministry of Defense, where he worked in the Department of Foreign Assistance. He later moved on to work in the Intelligence and Security Agency of the Armed Forces. He was then appointed as an advisor in the office of the Minister of Defense. In 2006, a Royal Decree appointed him as the Deputy Prince of al-Qassim Province. He later became the Governor of al-Qassim Province in 2015.

Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal has written multiple publications and books, including "The Second Security," which has been translated into various languages, "Political Evolution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Assessment of the Shura Council," "Open Councils and The Islamic Concept of Governance in Saudi Politics."
He has established a digital library with thousands of books on history, culture, and various other subjects.
Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal awards
Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal has launched several awards, including the Faisal Bin Mishaal Award for Model Farm, to encourage and support farms in al-Qassim Province to achieve the highest quality standards, as well as the al-Qassim Award for Excellence and Creativity.
Prince Faisal Bin Mishaal was awarded the Golden Scout Medal by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association. He also received the Leadership and Excellence Medal in Leadership in 2018 and the Medal of Wisdom from the World Wisdom Initiative, affiliated with the United Nations, in 2019.
