Sakani Program

The Sakani Program, launched in 2017 and affiliated with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, aims to enable Saudi families to own their first home by offering a variety of financing solutions and housing options.

Sakani Program aims to achieve several objectives, such as offering multiple housing and financial solutions to enable Saudi families to own their first home, simplifying the ownership procedures, and increasing homeownership rates to meet the goals of the Housing Program, one of the programs under Saudi Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, through the Sakani Program, launched an initiative to bear the value-added tax (VAT) on first home purchases. This move implements a royal order mandating that the state bear the VAT cost for first-time homebuyers.

The Sakani app and platform serve as digital channels for accessing the services of Sakani Program, which is dedicated to providing housing solutions for citizens. Through Sakani, beneficiaries can explore housing options and solutions tailored to their needs, including under-construction units, ready units from the real estate market, and self-construction products.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing oversees the Sakani app and platform, which serve the beneficiary of the Housing Program in the Kingdom. This is done by regulating processes for applying to housing support products and managing related data, while offering a variety of housing products. The Sakani app is available in both Arabic and English through app stores.

The Sakani app allows Saudi families to benefit from electronic services and comprehensive housing solutions, streamlining the process of securing housing. It supports the goal of increasing Saudi family homeownership to 70 percent by 2030, aligning with the objectives of the Housing Program as a program under Saudi Vision 2030.

The Sakani app offers a range of services for Saudi families to benefit through several solutions, including verifying beneficiary eligibility for financial support, exploring residential projects and plans, reserving units in off-plan sales projects, and finalizing contracts. Users can submit electronic financing requests, access self-construction services (such as engineering designs, a list of contractors, and engineering supervision offices), and utilize an integrated real estate market for buying or renting. Additional residential services include Sakani Loyalty, which offers exclusive discounts for housing support beneficiaries, rental contract documentation, the rental index, electronic requests for real estate unit sorting, and access to reports and statistics on the residential real estate sector.
