

Sago
The dish consists of starchy granules known as Sago. They are one of the popular desserts in Gulf countries in general and the Eastern Province, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in particular. The dish is prepared after soaking the granules in water. Sugar and ghee, amounting to the same quantity of granules, are then added to the mixture. The mixture is then continuously stirred on low heat until it becomes firm. Its preparation requires up to five hours.
Al-Marassi'
It is one of the main popular desserts in the Eastern Province. It is also known as "al-Masabib" or "al-Marakish." It is made of whole wheat dough to which onion dices and spices are added. Ingredients are mixed and then baked in small circular shapes. They are placed on a tava until cooked. They are eaten with honey or date molasses.

Aseeda
It is one of the main traditional dishes served on most Saudi traditional occasions. It is known as a cultural dish. Moreover, it is considered a winter dish in the Kingdom. It contains high amounts of calories. It is frequently served with other accompanying dishes, such as dates, honey, and ghee.
Khanfaroosh
Upon roasting some flour, the same quantity of sugar is added to the mixture along with eggs. The mixture is kneaded into small circular shapes and fried in ghee.
